Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 cup Basmati rice

  • 1/2 cup peas (mutter)

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 1/4 cup methi Leaves finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots

  • 1/4 cup chopped spring onion

  • 2 green chillies finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp jeera

  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp Oil

  • 1. 5 tsp salt or as per your taste

Directions

    Wash and soak rice in water for 20 minutes.

    Heat oil in a cooker. Add Jeera. Once it turns into brown. Add rice (drain excess water). Saute for 1 minute. Add 1.5 cup water. Add salt.

    Cover the lid. Cook it over medium flame until 1 whistle.

    Once steam released open the lid. Stir well. Keep aside.

    Heat oil in a Kadhai. Add chopped onions & peas. Saute until translucent. Add carrots, spring onion, methi Leaves & green chillies. Saute all until all vegetables cooked. Add salt & coriander Leaves. Mix well.

    Saute for 1 minute. Methi mutter & carrots pulav is ready to serve.
