Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 cup Basmati rice

  • 1 1/2 cup water

  • 20-25 mint fresh leaves

  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

  • 1 tsp Jeera

Directions

    Wash and rinse rice. Soak in water for 20 minutes.

    Wash mint and coriander leaves. Grind both in a grinder in to smooth paste.

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add Jeera. Saute until brown. Drain water from rice. Add rice in pressure cooker. Saute it for 1 minute.

    Add mint paste. Mix well. Add 1 1/2 cup water & salt. Stir well. Close the lid of cooker. Cook it over medium flame until one whistle. Then Switch off gas.

    Once steam released itself open the lid of cooker. Stir carefully. Minty rice are ready to serve.

    Serve hot with kadhi pakoda and sprouted salad.
