  • 1 cup Basmati rice

  • 1 1/2 cup water

  • 20-25 mint fresh leaves

  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

  • 1 tsp Jeera


  • Wash and rinse rice. Soak in water for 20 minutes.
  • Wash mint and coriander leaves. Grind both in a grinder in to smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add Jeera. Saute until brown. Drain water from rice. Add rice in pressure cooker. Saute it for 1 minute.
  • Add mint paste. Mix well. Add 1 1/2 cup water & salt. Stir well. Close the lid of cooker. Cook it over medium flame until one whistle. Then Switch off gas.
  • Once steam released itself open the lid of cooker. Stir carefully. Minty rice are ready to serve.
  • Serve hot with kadhi pakoda and sprouted salad.
