Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 carrot finely chopped


  • 1 capsicum finely chopped


  • 1/2 cup grated cottage cheese


  • 1/4 cup spring onion finely chopped


  • 1/2 cup cooked rice


  • 1 onion finely chopped


  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper


  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano


  • 1 green chilly chopped


  • Salt to taste


  • 1/2 cup uncooked basmati Rice

Directions

  • First wash and soak uncooked rice for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes drain water and spread rice on a cloth. Keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl add cooked rice and rest of the ingredients. Mix it nicely.
  • Now wet your hands and take small portion from this mixture and make balls.
  • Now take vegetable balls and roll them on soaked rice.The rice will stick to them.
  • Put these rice coated vegetable flowers on a steamer carefully for 15 minutes.
  • The vegetable balls will magically transform into beautiful colourful flowers.
  • let it cool for 5 minutes . Remove carefully and serve hot with mustard sauce or any Chutney of your choice.
  • Yummy steamed Rice Balls or Kadamb ke phool are ready to enjoy.
  • This balls look alike kadamb plant's flowers. That's why this dish is also known as kadamb ke phool.
