Ingredients

  • 1 carrot finely chopped

  • 1 capsicum finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup grated cottage cheese

  • 1/4 cup spring onion finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup cooked rice

  • 1 onion finely chopped

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • 1 green chilly chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup uncooked basmati Rice

Directions

    First wash and soak uncooked rice for 30 minutes.

    After 30 minutes drain water and spread rice on a cloth. Keep aside.

    In a mixing bowl add cooked rice and rest of the ingredients. Mix it nicely.

    Now wet your hands and take small portion from this mixture and make balls.

    Now take vegetable balls and roll them on soaked rice.The rice will stick to them.

    Put these rice coated vegetable flowers on a steamer carefully for 15 minutes.

    The vegetable balls will magically transform into beautiful colourful flowers.

    let it cool for 5 minutes . Remove carefully and serve hot with mustard sauce or any Chutney of your choice.

    This balls look alike kadamb plant's flowers. That's why this dish is also known as kadamb ke phool.
