Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1/2cup basmati rice

  • 5 saffron strands

  • 1tbsp milk

  • 6 cashew chopped

  • 6 almond chopped

  • 1 small bay keaf

  • 2 cloves

  • 1 cardmom

  • 2 inch cinnamon

  • 1 green chilli

  • 1/2inch chopped ginger

  • 1/2tsp fennel seeds

  • 1chopped onion

  • 1/4cup chopped apple

  • 1/4cup pomegranate seeds

  • 1/4cuo grapes

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 2 tbsp Oil for frying onion

  • 1 cup water

Directions

    Rinse and soak basmati rice for 15 minutes

    Drain water and keep rice a aside

  • 03

    Dissolve Saffron in 1 tablespoon warm milk

  • 04

    Fry dry fruits in 1 tbsp ghee till golden brown transfer it into a plate

  • 05

    Add one tablespoon ghee in same pan at bay leaves cloves green cardamom and cinnamon stick and Saute them for 30 seconds

  • 06

    Add green chilli and grated Ginger and fennel seed powder and Saute for 30 minutes

  • 07

    Add soaked and drained rice

  • 08

    Saute for 1 to 2 minutes

  • 09

    Pour Saffron milk and water

  • 10

    Cook rice for 3 to 5 minutes

  • 11

    Pressure cook for 5 minutes

  • 12

    garnish with dry fruits fried onions fresh fruits and serve
