ingredients for idli : Suji 1 cup
Curd 1 cup
Eno 1 sachet
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Beetroot juice 1 tablespoon
Spinach puree 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
Oil 1 tablespoon 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves 10
Ingredients for tikka msala : Deseeded tomato in cubes 1/2 cup
Onion in big cubes 1/2cup
Green capsicum in big cubes 1/2 cup
Gram flour(Besan) 1 tablespoon
Hung curd 2 tablespoon
Salt and chilly according to taste
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Chat masala 1 teaspoon
Tikka masala 1 teaspoon
Water dipped Skewers 6
First mix suji with curd . keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Now heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves in hot oil.
When seeds crackle, off the flame and pour this oil in suji mixture.
Divide this mixture in 3 parts. In one part add beetroot juice & in second part add spinach puree. Let third part as it is.
Add little curd in third part of suji to get desired consistency.
Now add salt, chilly and eno. Quickly mix and pour suji mixture in oil greased , microwave safe idli moulds. Now steam it for 3 minutes in microwave.
Do toothpick test to check idli.
keep aside idli to cool.
To make idli tikka first, mix all ingredients mentioned under tikka masala.
Keep aside tikka mixture for 1/2 an hour.
After 1/2 an hour cut each idli in 4 pieces and mix in Tikka masala mixture.
Now take skewers and arrange all veggies alternatively with idli pieces.
Heat grill tawa. Grill tikkas on slow flame .keep changing sides of idli tikkas.
Grill till golden brown.
Serve hot with sauce and with your favourite chutney .
