Ingredients
Serves 6
All purpose flour 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Active dry yeast 1 1/2 tbsp
Lukewarm milk 3/4 cup (or as needed)
Olive oil or melted butter 2 tbsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
Dry parsley flakes 1 tbsp
Mozzarella or any cheese of choice 1 cup
Dry mint leaves 1 tbsp
Directions
Add sugar and yeast to warm milk. Stir it gently and leave it to prove for 5 to 7 minutes. Add rest of the ingredients to a big mixing bowl.
Pour in the yeast mix now and knead into a smooth dough.
It is sticky at first but go on kneading it until it is smooth and elastic. Cover with a cling and leave it to double in a dark place in the kitchen, preferably an oven for an hour.
After an hour, knock it down once to release the air bubbles and start working on it. Make small marble sized balls out of the dough. Leave these covered undisturbed for about 20 minutes.
Deep fry them in hot oil on a medium high heat few at a time. Drain on an absorbent towel. Serve these hot mini balls with cheese on top and a few chilli flakes if desired
Your families will love these yummy balls with gooey cheese on top.
Absolutely a lovely innovative idea by me with cheese not being stuffed in as usually done instead topped on for a change. Cute looking awesome lovely little balls made out of pizza dough and then deep fried. Finally topping up with gooey cheese making these the most desirable among the kids. Infact everyone would love to dig into these beautiful looking balls. Serve them to your kids at any party for them or as an afterschool goodie. And since the festive season is on, serve them to your guests at iftaar. Melt in mouth and super fluffy, they just sweep you off your feet with their delectable flavour. Happy Frying!
