Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 glass Basmati Rice


  • 1/4 cup carrots


  • 1/4 cup green capsicum


  • 1/4 cup peas


  • 1 medium sized sliced onion


  • 1 medium sized chopped tomato


  • 1 tbsp roasted almonds, cashew nuts


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder and 1/2 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1 tsp Dhaniya masala


  • 1 tsp Schezwan sauce


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 5-6 garlic cloves

Directions

  • Wash and soak rice for 1/2 hour
  • Now take about 4 glass of water and allow it to boil by adding pinch of salt and oil.
  • Then add presoaked rice and allow it to boil in boiling water.
  • After sometime when rice r half cooked then drain off the excess water and sieve the rice in a strainer and pour 2 glass of cold water on it and pinch of oil so that they should not become sticky.
  • Then take oil in a pan . Allow cumin seeds to crackle and add onions to sauté till pink.
  • Then add garlic cloves followed by tomatoes and all other veggies.
  • Add 1/2 glass water for veggies to cook properly and become soft.
  • When all veggies become soft then add salt, red and black pepper powder followed by dhaniya masala and schezwan sauce.
  • Now add the rice in it and mix it gently and garnish with roasted almonds and cashew nuts
  • Serve hot with Curd or Raita.
