Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1cup All Purpose Flour /plain flour


  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar


  • 3/4cup Melted Butter


  • 3-4tbsp cocoa powder


  • 1 /2Cup Fresh Curd


  • 1 Tsp Baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda


  • 3/4cup milk


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1pinch salt

Directions

  • Firstly, sieve the plain flour, cocoa powder, powdered suger ,baking powder, baking soda and salt in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside
  • In a separate bowl take melted butter and curd and mix well till the mixture turns smooth and creamy
  • pout the prepared butter mixture in to sieved dry mixture
  • Mix in one direction with light hands
  • Further add vanilla extract and give a light mix.
  • now gently add1/2 cup milk and mix gently for 2-3 minutes to make smooth dropping consistency by whisking in one side (add more milk if required)
  • nice smooth dropping consistency Cake batter is ready (make sure there is no lumps in better)
  • Now grease the appam pan with drop of oil and Pour a spoonful of cake batter into the holes
  • now put appam pan and cook with lid on medium -slow flame for 1/2 -1minute
  • After the certain time Open the lid
  • check the cake ,remove the appam pan from flame
  • turn flip the side of cake (while changing the side of cake do carefully otherwise it may break)
  • again put on flame and cover with lid and cook for another 1/2minute on slow flame
  • Open the lid, and check the Cake inserting the toothpick If the toothpick comes out clean, then our Cake is completely done
  • Let it cool down for a while and then transfer it into a plate.
  • our chocolappam is ready to serve
