Ingredients

Serves 8

  • small grained basmati rice 3/4 cup

  • full fat milk 2 lt

  • milkmaid 1 cup

  • sugar 1/2 cup

  • cardamom 3-4

  • cashew 8-10

  • almonds 8-10

  • pistachio 8-10

Directions

  • 01

    in a pressure cooker cook rice and 4 cups of water and pressure cook till 4-5 whistles

  • 02

    crush the rice coarsely with a laddle

  • 03

    boil milk and add this to the rice

  • 04

    mix well and cook it in simmer gas till milk is almost reduced to half and the kheer becomes thick

  • 05

    roast cashew,almond and chop all the dry fruits

  • 06

    crush cardamom and put it in the kheer

  • 07

    add condensed milk and sugar and mix everything well

  • 08

    add saffron strands and chopped dryfruits

  • 09

    u can serve hot or serve chilled

  • 10

    garnish with dryfruits and saffron
