Ingredients

Serves 5

  • small grained basmati rice 1/2 cups

  • full fat milk 2 litre

  • sugar 1/2 cups

  • condensed milk 1/2 cups

  • cardamom 2-3 nos

  • cashew 6-8 nos

  • almonds 6-8 nos

  • pistachio 8-10 nos

Directions

  • 01

    in a blender take rice and coarsely grind it

  • 02

    in a pan boil milk

  • 03

    add rice to the boiling milk and stir

  • 04

    cook till milk reduced to half stirring in between

  • 05

    cook it in low flame..this process takes around 45-50 mins

  • 06

    add condensed milk and sugar and mix well

  • 07

    crush cardamom and put it in the phirni and mix well

  • 08

    roast cashew and almond and chop them finely

  • 09

    keep some of the dryfruits for garnishing and rest put in the phirni

  • 10

    mix well...

  • 11

    U can cool it and serve or serve hot as per your choice

  • 12

    garnish with dryfruits and silver foil and serve
