Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2cups rice


  • 200 gram paneer


  • 1bunch methi leaves


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1tsp coriander pd


  • 2tbs salt


  • 1tbs red chilli pd


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric pd


  • 1/2 tsp garammasala


  • 4 tbs oil


  • 2 onion


  • 1cup curd


  • 1/4 cup mint leaves


  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves


  • 1/4 tsp food colour


  • 1cup oil for frying onion


  • Whole garam masala(2 cardamom, 3cloves,1/4 tsp shahi jeera, 1 bayleaf,3-4black pepper, cinnamon)

Directions

  • Boil water adding salt, drops of oil and whole garammasala
  • In a kadai heat oil and fry onion slices till golden brown n keep aside
  • In a pot add 4 tbs oil , ginger gatlic paste, all the dry masalas, ncook till raw smell goes off
  • Add chopped methi leaves to it
  • Add crushed onion
  • Add beaten curd n cook further, add paneer cubes also
  • Add chopped mint n coriander leaves.
  • Its done n keep aside
  • Once the water start boiling add soaked rice and cook till 80%.
  • Drain the excess water.
  • Now take a vessel add rice layer then paneer layer sprinkle some fried onion, mint and ciriander
  • Repeat the process.
  • Upper layer should be rice layer
  • Sprinkle fried onipn, mint,coriander and food colour of your choice
  • Cover it properly and keep it on dum for 10 mins
  • Switch off the gas .
  • Serve with raita of your choice
