Ingredients

  • chicken 1kg


  • Ginger 1 inch piece


  • garlic 1 pod


  • Saunf 2 teaspoon


  • jeera 1 teaspoon


  • whole black pepper 1 teaspoon


  • cardamom 4


  • clove 4


  • cinnamon 1 stick


  • whole coriander seeds 2 tablespoon


  • salt 2.5tbsp


  • basmati rice 1kg


  • onions 2


  • tomato 2


  • jeera 1 tsp


  • Saunf 1tsp


  • Black pepper 1tsp


  • Curd 1cup


  • red chilli powder 2tsp


  • whole Red Chillies 5


  • green chillies 10


  • Kewra 3 teaspoon


  • Desi Ghee 1 cup


  • ginger garlic paste 2 tablespoon

Directions

  • soak basmati rice for 1 hour
  • in a pan take one litre water and make a potli of all the whole spices and add in salt and chicken
  • Cook for 15minutes only
  • take out chicken pieces from the water stock and cook again for 10 minutes
  • in a big Degchi heat ghee and add all the whole Garam Masala
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry the chicken on high heat for 10minutes and then take it out
  • Then add sliced onions and brown it till golden
  • Take out half the onions and add sliced tomatoes with the curd and red chilli powder
  • Stir and add green chillies
  • Then add chicken stock and rice ...add more water if required
  • When rice is half done add chicken pieces and Kewra and cook on sum for 15
