Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Basmati Rice - 11/2 cup


  • Banana Stem - finely chopped and boiled, 1/2 cup


  • Salt - 11/2 teaspoon (as per taste)


  • Sugar - 1/2 cup


  • Cashew nuts - 8 to 10


  • Bay leaf - 2


  • Ghee - 2 tablespoon


  • Raisin - 8 to 10


  • Refined oil - 1 tablespoon

Directions

  • Heat oil and 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan and add boiled & strained banana stem.
  • Sauté it with little salt and keep aside.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and keep them aside.
  • Now take a wok and add remaining ghee.
  • Add bay leaf into it and add the rice into it.
  • Stir the rice for 5 minutes and next add fried banana stem into it. Mix them well.
  • Add salt and sugar per taste.
  • Add required water and cover with lid. Allow to cook the rice.
  • Stir in between to avoid sticking at the bottom.
  • Switch off the gas when rice is cooked 90% and give a standing time for 5 minutes.
  • Finally add cashew nuts and raisins on top and serve it hot.
