Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Basmati Rice - 11/2 cup

  • Banana Stem - finely chopped and boiled, 1/2 cup

  • Salt - 11/2 teaspoon (as per taste)

  • Sugar - 1/2 cup

  • Cashew nuts - 8 to 10

  • Bay leaf - 2

  • Ghee - 2 tablespoon

  • Raisin - 8 to 10

  • Refined oil - 1 tablespoon

Directions

    Heat oil and 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan and add boiled & strained banana stem.

    Sauté it with little salt and keep aside.

  • 03

    Add 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and keep them aside.

    Now take a wok and add remaining ghee.

    Add bay leaf into it and add the rice into it.

    Stir the rice for 5 minutes and next add fried banana stem into it. Mix them well.

    Add salt and sugar per taste.

    Add required water and cover with lid. Allow to cook the rice.

    Stir in between to avoid sticking at the bottom.

    Switch off the gas when rice is cooked 90% and give a standing time for 5 minutes.

    Finally add cashew nuts and raisins on top and serve it hot.
