Total Time : 45 Min

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Bread slices trimmed 12

  • Salt 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp

  • Red chilli flakes 1 1/2 tbsp

  • Mozzarella cheese 1 1/2 cups

  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp

  • FOR THE BATTER ; Gram flour 1 cup

  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp

  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp

  • Ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp

  • Water 1/4 cup (or as required)

Directions

  • Make a semi thick batter with gram flour and other ingredients adding water as required. Salt is to be added both in the batter and the cheese mix. Hence it is mentioned twice. Addition of water completely depends upon the quality of the flour.
  • Roll all the slices a little to make them thin. Dip them in water to make them soft so as to handle easily. Just dip and not immerse them. Take out and press firmly in between your palms to squeeze out all the water.
  • Also wet your hands to handle it and shape it into a ball. Do not ever soak them in water fully because this way bread usually absorbs more water.
  • Mix all the ingredients in mozzarella cheese. Place a generous amount of the filling on each slice. Roll and shape each into a ball.
  • Dip them all in the batter and deep fry on low flame in hot oil. Fry until golden on all the sides and drain well.
  • Serve these cheesy bread bondas with any chutney of your choice.
  • An awesome twist by me to the ever famous aaloo bonda that everyone of us just love to eat. I added lots of cheese as the filling with rest of the process remaining the same. Believe me friends, this one is a keeper for sure. A twist that will be loved by everyone and it is a great snack to serve. A yummylicious treat for people of all ages. Happy Snacking!
