  • 1/4cup Mashoor dal

  • 1cup chopped vegetables like carrot, capsicum, cauliflower etc

  • 1/2 cup rice

  • 1/2tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/2tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 2 dry red chillies

  • 1tsp oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

  • 2 cloves Garlic

  • 1/2 cup Onion chopped

    Take a cooker add 1/2tsp oil add all lentis (dal) saute them in 2 minutes

    After that add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder,salt,and 1/2tsp kashmiri chilli powder mix it

    now add rice and give it a good mix add 3cups of water and cover the lid allow it 6 to 7 whistles

    when cooker is completely cool open the lid and give it a good mix.

    Now take a pan heat 1 tsp oil add mustard seeds and cumin seeds next add red chillies and curry leaves next you can add onion and garlic and fry switch off the flame.

    Transfer this tadka in your Khichdi garnsh some coriander leaves serve this Khichdi With curd and papad, salad as your wish.
