Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 2 cups cooked Basmati Rice (long grained rice)


  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds


  • 1 medium size Onion, finely chopped


  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic paste


  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped


  • 1/3 cup Carrot


  • finely chopped1 large Tomato


  • finely chopped1/3 cup Green Peas


  • Pav bhaji Masala1/4 teaspoon


  • 1/2 tablespoons Turmeric Powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder


  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped Coriander Leaves


  • Salt1½ tablespoons


  • Biryani masala 1tsp

Directions

  • Boil chopped carrot and green peas in salted water until tender, approx. 5-7 minutes. Drain the water and transfer them to a plate.
  • in a large pan or kadai take some butter and saute finely chopped onions.once the onions turns slightly translucent, add in ginger garlic paste.
  • next is to add roughly chopped tomato and cook till they turn soft.
  • add some fresh or frozen peas. mash all the veggies well using potato masher.
  • now add boiled and diced potatoes. time to add finely chopped capsicum and saute.
  • add red chilli paste (red chilli paste is prepared by mixing 2 tsp of chilli powder with 5 tsp of water), salt and pav bhaji masala and biryani masala .
  • also add some water to make the masala moist. be gentle while mixing with masala.
  • squeeze some lemon juice and add coriander leaves.
  • Garnishing with some cucumber onion and coriander leaves served hot with rayta
