Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 bowls jaggery


  • 3/4 cups fat free rice


  • 2 cups water


  • 2 tsp desi ghee or clarifying butter


  • 1 tsp fennel


  • 1 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 tsp melon seeds


  • 1/2 bowls mixed dry fruits like almonds, cashew, pistachios, anjeer and black raisins

Directions

  • Collect all ingredients to make a yummy jaggery rice
  • Take a big pan.Add jaggery in it. Allow it to melt down.
  • When it melts completely, add water. After a boil in water, add washed and soaked rice for about 10 minutes.
  • Now after adding rice, add ghee. After 3-4 boils in water, with stirring now and then, add cardamom powder and fennel seeds.
  • Slowly the water gets absorbed, rice becomes soft and cooked.
  • Then add chopped dry fruits in it and let it stand for 2-3 minutes.
