jaggery 1/2 bowls
fat free rice 3/4 cups
water 2 cups
desi ghee or clarifying butter 2 tsp
fennel 1 tsp
cardamom powder 1 tsp
melon seeds 1 tsp
mixed dry fruits like almonds, cashew, pistachios, anjeer and black raisins 1/2 bowls
Collect all ingredients to make a yummy jaggery rice
Take a big pan.Add jaggery in it. Allow it to melt down.
When it melts completely, add water. After a boil in water, add washed and soaked rice for about 10 minutes.
Now after adding rice, add ghee. After 3-4 boils in water, with stirring now and then, add cardamom powder and fennel seeds.
Slowly the water gets absorbed, rice becomes soft and cooked.
Then add chopped dry fruits in it and let it stand for 2-3 minutes.
