Soak chana dal n rice together after washing them. ..properly.
Don't discard this water it use at the time of cooking ..
Keep it . Soaked for half an hour .
Now in a pressure cooker
add ghee ,
jeera
Allow it to splutter
add heeng .
Add chopped onions
allow them to caramelise by putting salt ..
Add tomatoes add little water to soften them quickly
Add turmeric, red chilly powder, black pepper corns ,
Badi elaichi, Bay leaf.
Now pour presoaked chana dal rice. Stir it
and add the required amount of water.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker
Allow it to cook it for 10 minutes. First on high flame and then for 5
mints on low flame ..
yummy healthy khichadi is ready

Tip : Can add sum veggies like carrot and beans in it .
