Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3 Lasagne sheets


  • 5 beans


  • 1 carrot cut into Julienne


  • 1/ 4 Cup peas


  • 150 grams Mozzarella cheese


  • 10 black olives


  • 1/2 cup boiled mushy rice


  • 1 egg


  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs


  • 1/4 tsp corn flour


  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs oregano thyme Basil


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1 fistful of mint for garnish


  • For Marinara Sauce for 4 serves


  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • 1 white onion


  • 2 garlic cloves chopped


  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs oregano time Basil


  • 1 diced tomato


  • 1 cup water


  • 1/2 tsp salt or salt to taste

Directions

  • Method to prepare marinara sauce
  • In a large saucepan heat olive oil and add the chopped onions
  • Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the onions softens ,then add the garlic and cook for another minute
  • Add Mixed Herbs,salt ,diced tomatoes and salt to taste
  • Add water and mix well .Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Stir occasionally .Cover it and cook till it's done. Sauce is ready for Fried Lasagna Sushi.
  • Method to prepare fried Lasagne Sushi
  • Boil beans and fresh Peas in boiling water for few minutes till its parboiled. Add salt to taste.
  • Cook rice still it's mushy .Add corn flour and salt to taste and mix well. Beat egg with pepper powder and salt to taste. Keep it aside.
  • Boil Lasagna sheets in hot water for 2 minutes with little salt and oil .Keep the sheet separately on a plate
  • Mix bread crumbs with mixed herbs, Chilli flakes and salt. Outer coating for Lasagna sheet is ready
  • Take a wooden mat with a cling wrap on it
  • Place Lasagna sheet on a mat and spread mushy rice on top evenly .Place boiled beans ,Peas, carrot julienne, Olive and strip of Mozzarella cheese
  • Sprinkle mixed Italian herbs,Chilli flakes and salt .Roll lasagne sheet tightly. Keep it aside
  • Egg wash Lasagne rolls well and roll it on breadcrumb mixture till it's evenly coated.
  • Fry the Lasagne Sushi roll in medium hot oil till its golden brown.
  • Cut and serve with homemade marinara sauce.Fusion fried Lasagna Sushi is ready to serve with both Chinese an Italian flavours
