Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • Vanilla cake ,Cake flour - 1.5 cups


  • Eggs - 3


  • Milk - 3 tbsp


  • Baking powder - 1 tsp


  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp


  • Sugar - 3/4 th cup


  • Butter - 1/2 cup


  • Refined oil - 1/3 rd cup


  • Butter cream frosting ,Unsalted softened butter - 1/2 cup


  • Icing sugar - 2 cups


  • Vanilla extract -1 tsp


  • Cream - 3 tbsp


  • Gel colours (I have used pink, yellow and blue) - 2 drops

Directions

  • How to make cake flour : Take 1.5 cups of maida , remove 3 tbsp of the maida and add 3 tbsp of cornflour.
  • Whisk the butter, oil and sugar till fluffy. Add the eggs ,vanilla extract and whisk.
  • Sieve the flour and baking powder, keep aside. Now fold in the flour mix and milk into 2 parts into the egg mixture.
  • Pour this mixture into a greased baking tin, and bake in preheated oven or microwave oven (convection mode) at 165℃ for 35 minutes. Let the cake get cooled enough.
  • To make the frosting, whisk the butter and add the icing sugar. Whisk and add the vanilla extract.
  • Whisk until everything is fluffy, add the cream and whisk for few seconds more. Divide the frosting into 3 parts.
  • Add respective gel colours to 3 parts, pour them into piping bags fitted with nozzles. Pipe flowers onto the cake.
