Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Dosa Rice 2 cup


  • Ripe Jackfruit bulbs 40-50


  • Grated coconut 1 cup


  • Salt 1/2 tsp


  • Jaggery powder 1 cup


  • Water 1/2 cup


  • Water 1 ltr for steaming


  • Coconut oil 1/4 cup to grease idli moulds


  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Directions

  • wash and Soak dosa rice overnight.
  • Drain the water in morning, add in Mixie jar.
  • Combine cleaned ripe jackfruit bulbs, jackfruit bulbs, cardamom powder, Jaggery, salt, coconut, water.
  • Grind smoothly together.
  • Heat water in idli steamer.
  • Grease idli moulds with coconut oil.
  • Add ground thick batter in each mould, cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Check the cookness, if not continue still 5 more minutes.
  • Open the lid and allow it to cool down for 5 minutes, demould idlies.
  • Add idlies one after another in shyavige press.
  • Press the jackfruit idlies and serve with ginger chutney or plain with coconut oil.
  • It is so sweet, yummy and tasty jackfruit shyavige.
