Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 250 grams boiled rice


  • 2 big lemons (juice)


  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 15-20 peanuts


  • 1 tablespoon chana dal


  • 1 tbsp urad dal


  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds


  • 3 dried Red Chillies


  • 2 split green chillies


  • 8-10 curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp salt (or as per your taste)


  • 2 tbsp grated carrot


  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves


  • 3 tbsp oil

Directions

  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Add cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  • Now add peanuts and fry for a minute.
  • Add dried red chillies and green chillies and let it fry.
  • Add curry leaves and let them splutter
  • Now add turmeric powder, salt and mix . Saute for few seconds
  • Add lemon juice to the boiled rice and mix nicely.
  • Now add the tempering in the rice and give it a gentle mix.
  • Sprinkle grated carrots and fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
