Heat water in a deep vessel and when water starts boiling add one tsp oil and macaroni/ pasta and cook till al-dente (just cooked).as mentioned on the packet. Stir it once in a while.
Drain in a colander and rinse with cold water and keep aside.
Keep saffron strands dipped in little warm milk aside for at least 10 minutes.
Heat milk in a pan and when it starts boiling add in boiled macaroni/pasta.
Add in the saffron dipped in milk and cardamom powder and mix.
When the milk is reduced to half add in sugar and stir properly.
Now add dryfruits. keep on stirring.
When it starts thicken and milk is reduced to your desired consistency switch off the gas.
Garnish the pudding with nuts and serve hot or cold.
Tip: Do not thicken the milk too much as it will get more thicken once cold.
Note: generally we add salt while boiling macaroni/pasta but as we are making sweet dish so I avoided adding it.
