Rice 1 cup Sugar 3/4 or according to sweetness required n water 1.5 cup.( for syrup) Boil rice along with a potluck of all the whole spices, n add 1/2 salt to the water,Add kesar n yellow food colour, if not col, add some food col.i have used Haldi.
Make a 1 string syrup separately. In a KADAI add 2 tbsp ghee, add the rice, add syrup, to the rice, add elaichi powder, n cook on slow flame till it dries up, do not make lots of syrup , it should not get wet. Add dry fruits, n sprinkle kesar strands. Happy cooking..
