Serves 6

  • 500 grams boiled, deskined sweet potatoes

  • 250 grams seived wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 50-80 mili litre oil to deep fry

    Mash sweet potatoes while warm

  • 02

    Add the salt and mix well

  • 03

    Add wheat flour bit by bit to work out a soft dough without adding any water

  • 04

    Place the dough on a flour dusted surface and start shaping the donuts

  • 05

    heat oil for deep frying

  • 06

    fry the donuts in hot oil till both sides are light brown

  • 07

    Rest fried donuts on a kitchen tissue to strain excess oil

  • 08

    if you do not mind sugar in this recipe, you may choose to dress the donuts as per your choice by adding fine sugar coating, liquid chocolate coating, etc
