Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1. For potato cheese popsicles:


  • 4 medium size potatoes,boiled & peeled


  • 2 green chillies,finely chopped


  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves,finely chopped


  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder


  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder


  • 1 tbsp cornflour


  • 1 tbsp maida


  • 1/3 cup mozarella cheese,shredded


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • Oil to deep fry(appx 2 cups)


  • 2. For the coating:


  • 2 tbsp cornflour


  • 2 tbsp maida


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 3/4 cup water


  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs

Directions

  • In a bowl, add the potatoes and mash it well.Then add all the ingredients mentioned under ‘For potato cheese balls popsicles’ and mix well.
  • It should be like smooth dough,if it’s watery add little bit of cornflour.Take a small amount of dough and roll it to form a cylindrical shape.Keep aside.
  • In a bowl,add cornflour,maida and salt.Mix well.
  • Add water and mix well to form a pouring consistency.
  • Take a rolled dough,dip into a maida mixture and roll it on breadcrumbs.Repeat the step 3 times,until it gets coated well with breadcrumbs(else cheese will oozes out while deep frying).
  • Heat oil in a pan(medium flame).Deep fry the coated rolls in a medium flame,until it turns golden brown color.
  • Insert the tooth pick to the fried potato rolls and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
  • Note: 1.Adjust spice powders and green chillies according to your spice level. 2.Pressure cook the potatoes for 3 whistles in medium high flame or microwave at high power for 8 mins.
