Heat oil in a kadai, to it add the mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add the urad dal, garlic and green chillies. Saute till the dal turns light brown
Add the onions and fry for a minute.
Add the brinjal and fry for 3 minutes
Add the powdered spices and fry for 2 minutes. Add salt and butter milk and cook on low flame for 5-8 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
