Rice Donuts In Cheese Sauce - Leftover Rice

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice


  • 2/3 cup Semolina


  • 2/3 cup milk


  • 1/2 cup chopped veggies (onion, capsicum and bell pepper)


  • 3-4 green chillies finely chopped


  • 5.5 cheese slices


  • 1 cup water


  • 1 cup or more breadcrumbs


  • 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste


  • 1 teaspoon oregano, red chilli flakes, parsley or as required for garnish

Directions

  • Add milk to semolina, mix well and keep it aside
  • In a plate, mash cooked rice, add green chillies, chopped veggies and mix well
  • Add rice mixture to semolina mix and mix well
  • Add breadcrumbs as required to knead dough
  • Dust surface with flour or use butter paper
  • Take small portion of dough and cut in shape of donuts. keep it aside. do until dough is completed
  • Deep fry donuts until golden brown
  • In microwave safe bowl, add chopped cheese slices with water
  • Microwave for 2 minutes on high. Allow sauce to cool slightly
  • Add cheese sauce on top of donuts
  • Sprinkle oregano, parsley and red chilli flakes. Serve immediately
