Ingredients

  • Golden rice 2 tumbler


  • Brown jaggery 2 blocks


  • Sugar 100gms


  • Coconut 1


  • Black sesame seeds 50 gms


  • Salt 1 tsp


  • Almonds 10


  • Rose syrup 10 drops


  • Saffron 6


  • Milk 1 litre


  • Soda salt 1 tsp


  • Yellow food colour 1 pinch


  • Vannila essence 5 drops


  • Water 1 litre


  • Oil 1tsp

Directions

  • Soak rice for an hour,completely
  • Drain the water and dry the rice on a clean cloth
  • After drying,grind it into a powder,add oil,soda salt and salt
  • Add a pan of water and melt the jaggery.Add roasted sesame,broken almonds,chopped coconuts,yellow food colour,vannila essence
  • Either mix the jaggery mixture with rice mix or stuff into
  • Steam in idli cooker for 15 minutes
  • Boil the milk,add sugar,saffron and rose mix.
  • Add the boiled kolukatai to rose milk and serve hot
