Firstly mix the cream/malai with sugar and beat well. Set aside.
Now sieve wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder 3 times and on the other side dissolve saffron in 1 cup milk.
Now add both the mixtures of maida and milk into the malai mixture and whisk it properly. No lumps should be there.
Add some more milk if needed to break the lumps. Stir constantly while mixing.
Now add vanilla essence and stir. Add generous pinch of yellow colour ( optional ) and stir well.
Now put appe pan on gas, heat it a little and add 1 drop of ghee in each block.
Now pour the batter and cover the pan with lid. Cook on slow to medium flame. Check in between.
The cake is ready in 8 -10 minutes. Check if done with the help of a toothpick.
