Ingredients

Serves 4

  • For rice bowl. 1 cup boiled rice

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1tbsp butter

  • 1/2cup tomato puree

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp garlic and ginger powder

  • 1 tsp white pepper powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock

  • For veg stripes 4 boiled and mashed potatoes

  • 1 tsp italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 cup boiled corn

  • 1/2 cup boiled and chopped carrot

  • 1/2 cup boiled peas

  • 2 tbsp cream

  • 1/2 tsp yellow colour

  • 1 tbsp maida

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes

    For veg stripes 1. In a deep bowl add potatoes, italian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, cayenne pepper, boiled corns, carrot, peas, salt and mix it well.

    Fill it in zip lock bag and refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes.

    After that cut the bag. Cut the mixture into rectangular shape pieces. Roll the pieces into cylindercal shape.

    Add maida, cornflour, black pepper and salt mix it well and make a slurry.

    Take one piece and roll it into dry cornflour, dip it in slurry, cover in bread crumbs, dip again in slurry, cover with crushed cornflakes.

    Deep fry it in hot oil till turns golden brown from both sides

    For rice _ heat a pan add oil, butter mix it well,

    Now add onion powder, 1 tsp ginger garlic powder, white pepper powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cinnamon, vegetable stock , salt and saute it for 1 minute.

    Bring to a gravy consistency, now add cream.

    Let the rice cool. Divide the rice into two parts add 1/2 tsp yellow food colour(already dissolved 2 tsp water) in one part and mix it well.

    In a bowl make layers of yellow rice and plain rice

  • 12

    Pour some gravy on the centre of thr rice, top of the layers.

  • 13

    Place veg stripes on it.
