Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • For rice bowl. 1 cup boiled rice


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 1tbsp butter


  • 1/2cup tomato puree


  • 1 tsp onion powder


  • 2 tsp garlic and ginger powder


  • 1 tsp white pepper powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder


  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock


  • For veg stripes 4 boiled and mashed potatoes


  • 1 tsp italian seasoning


  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper


  • 1/2 cup boiled corn


  • 1/2 cup boiled and chopped carrot


  • 1/2 cup boiled peas


  • 2 tbsp cream


  • 1/2 tsp yellow colour


  • 1 tbsp maida


  • 1 tbsp cornflour


  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes

Directions

  • For veg stripes 1. In a deep bowl add potatoes, italian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, cayenne pepper, boiled corns, carrot, peas, salt and mix it well.
  • Fill it in zip lock bag and refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • After that cut the bag. Cut the mixture into rectangular shape pieces. Roll the pieces into cylindercal shape.
  • Add maida, cornflour, black pepper and salt mix it well and make a slurry.
  • Take one piece and roll it into dry cornflour, dip it in slurry, cover in bread crumbs, dip again in slurry, cover with crushed cornflakes.
  • Deep fry it in hot oil till turns golden brown from both sides
  • For rice _ heat a pan add oil, butter mix it well,
  • Now add onion powder, 1 tsp ginger garlic powder, white pepper powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cinnamon, vegetable stock , salt and saute it for 1 minute.
  • Bring to a gravy consistency, now add cream.
  • Let the rice cool. Divide the rice into two parts add 1/2 tsp yellow food colour(already dissolved 2 tsp water) in one part and mix it well.
  • In a bowl make layers of yellow rice and plain rice
  • Pour some gravy on the centre of thr rice, top of the layers.
  • Place veg stripes on it.
