Paneer Butter Masala

Description

A little spicy, a little tangy, a little sweet, a little buttery. This dish serves as a good accompaniment with rotis, paratas, ghee rice and veg biryani, jeera rice.

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 200 grams paneer


  • 6 tomatoes


  • 4 onions


  • 1 Green Chilli


  • 2 tablespoon curd


  • 2 tablespoon oil


  • 1 tablespoon butter


  • 2 Cardamom


  • 1 cinnamon


  • 2 bay leaf


  • 3 cloves


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon gram masala powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon chilly powder


  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder


  • Salt 2 taste

Directions

  • Grind tomatoes, 2 onions, green chilli, Cumin seeds and 2 tablespoon curd to smooth paste.
  • Heat tablespoons oil and tablespoon butter.
  • Add cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf and  cloves.
  • Add 2 thin sliced onions and fry till they turn Brown.
  • Add the ground paste and fry for a minute
  • Add the powdered spices, give it a good stir and cook covered for 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Add the diced Paneer, salt to taste and cook for a minute on high flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
