Bake Chicken Potato With Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3 potatoes, peel and roundly sliced


  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 2 teaspoon black pepper


  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil


  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut in small dices


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1/2 cup of red belpepper chopped


  • 1/4 cup of green capsicum chopped


  • 1 teaspoon chiliflacks


  • 3 tablespoon of tomato paste


  • 2 tablespoons of butter


  • 1/2 cup flour


  • 1/2 cup milk


  • 1/2 cup mozarella cheese, shredded


  • To serve, 1/4th sliced apples and 3 tablespoon chopped mangoes

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degree centigrate
  • Add the potatoes in an oven tray
  • Season them with dried thyme, pinch of salt, 1 tsp pepper and 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Make sure all of them are covered with spices and oil
  • Roast them for the next 20 minutes
  • Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over medium heat
  • Add the onion, saute till golden colour
  • Then add the chicken cook for 6 minutes
  • Add red and green belpeppers, chillies , pinch of salt and season with chilliflakes
  • Add the tomato paste, stir, and leave it on for 2 minutes
  • Take out the roasted potatoes and top them with the cooked chicken
  • Now for the bechamel sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan
  • Slowly add the flour, while vigoriously whisking, so it can be absorbed into the butter
  • Pour the milk and keep whisking until the sauce become smooth and thick
  • Add pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper, mix it
  • Turn off the flame. Pour the sauce over the chicken
  • Slide the tray into the oven for the next 20 minutes
  • When bake is complete serve with sliced apple and chopped mangoes in a plate
