Ingredients

  • 2 cups Maida/apf

  • 2 tbsp cornmeal

  • 2 tbsp powder sugar

  • 1 tspn baking soda

  • 1 tspn salt

  • 2 cups buttermilk

  • 2 eggs beaten

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1/2 tspn vanilla extract

  • 2 tspn grated lemom zest

  • juice of 1 lemon

    Method :combine flour, cornmeal,sugar,baking soda & salt in a large mixing bowl. whisk to combine. Add eggs,oil,buttermilk,lemon juice & vanilla extract. whisk until blended. stir in lemon zest. let batter rest for 5 minutes before using.

    preheat a waffle maker. spray oil on the surface ofwaffle maker. pour 1-2 tbsp of batter & spread out evenly. close the lid ofthe waffle maker. after 3-4 minutes open the lid . carefully remove the baked waffle in a serving plate: repeat with remaining batter. (u can also storethe batter m refrigerator for 2-3 days ) serve with chocolate sauce or maple syrup.

    if u dnt have waffle maker u can prepare pancakes from this batter.
