Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Chicken - 500 gm


  • Basmati rice - 1.5 cup


  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp


  • Sliced onion - 1


  • Elaichi (cardamom) - 2


  • Cinnamon - 1


  • Cloves - 2


  • Peppercorns - 10


  • Tejpatta (bay leaf) - 1


  • Green chilly paste - 2 tsp


  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp


  • Curd - 3 tbsp


  • Khoya - 1/4 th cup


  • Salt - 1 tsp


  • Milk - 1/2 cup


  • Ghee/refined oil - 2 tbsp

Directions

  • Heat ghee/oil in a kadhai, add the whole garam masalas, followed by sliced onion.
  • Once translucent, add the ginger garlic paste and chilly paste.
  • Add the chicken pieces and fry. Then add the curd, khoya and stir. Then add the salt and lemon juice.
  • While this is cooking, par boil the rice in milk water and salt.
  • Strain the rice and add to the chicken. Close the lid and cook it on a low for for 15 minutes. Rest and serve
