Ingredients

Serves 3

  • basmati rice 1 1/2 cups

  • large potato 1 nos

  • peas(I used frozen ) 3 tbsp

  • onion sliced 1 nos

  • cumin seeds 1 tsp

  • water 500 ml

  • ghee 3 tbsp

  • For grinding : mint leaves 1/2 cups

  • chillies 2 nos

  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

  • garam masala 1/2 tsp

  • coconut milk 1/4 cups

  • salt as needed 1 pinch

Directions

    Grind the ingredients given under "for grinding " & set aside.

    Heat ghee in a pan.

  • 03

    Splutter cumin seeds.

  • 04

    Add onions and potatoes.

  • 05

    Add the ground masala.

  • 06

    Add rice and saute for a couple of minutes.

    Add boiling water.

  • 08

    Cook until 3/4 th done.

  • 09

    Add green peas.

  • 10

    Cook further until completely done.

  • 11

    Serve with your favourite accompaniments.
