CHICKEN GRAVY WITH TANDOORI MASALA

Description

Chicken gravy cooked in a pressure cooker method with the ground masala of tomato ,onion coriander leaves,green chilly ,curd and seasoned with Tandoori masala powder. Enjoy this with rice, roti, paratas, idiappams ,appams ,Idli ,dosas.

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 500 gms chicken


  • 4 large tomato


  • 2 small onion


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 2 tablespoon thick curd


  • 1 handful coriander leaves


  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice


  • 3 tablespoon oil


  • 2 cardamom


  • 2 cloves


  • 1 cinnamon


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi


  • 2 teaspoon BON Tandoori masala powder

Directions

  • Wet grind the tomato, onion, cumin, coriander leaves , ginger garlic paste, curd, chilli turmeric powder. Do not add water.
  • Heat oil in pressure cooker and add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf and chicken. Stir for a minute.
  • Add ground masala, salt to taste, 150 ml water and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles
  • Once the pressure is released, add tandoori masala powder, kasuri methi and lemon juice . Mix well . Simmer for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • Serve with rice, roti, appams, paratas, idiappams ,idli, dosas.
