Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1cup moong dal


  • 1/4th cup almond


  • 1cup ghee


  • 1/4th cup chopped dry fruits


  • 1tbsp whole wheat flour


  • 1cup sugar


  • 1cup water

Directions

  • Soak moong dal and almonds seperately for 2-3hours.
  • Grind it into a crumbled paste, not perfectly smooth.
  • Now heat a cup of ghee in a pan.
  • Add wheat flour and saute for a minute.
  • Add moong dal and almonds paste to it and cook, it becomes very sticky that is why we add wheat flour as it helps preventing it from being sticky.
  • It takes almost 30 minutes for the dal to cook into a nice golden colour.
  • Now in another pan dissolve sugar and water,don't make chasni, just cook for 2-3 minute or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add it to the cooked dal mixture and cook until it get halwa consistency.
  • Garnish with some chopped dry fruits and dried rose petals and serve.
