Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 kg of fresh snake melon


  • 500 grams sweet grapes


  • 250 grams- Tomato puree


  • 50 grams of ginger garlic paste


  • 200 grams of yogurt


  • 100 gm beaten malai or fresh cream


  • 50 gm roasted peanuts (grind)


  • 50 gms of white butter or 3 teaspoons pure ghee


  • cooking oil 1 Tablespoon


  • Green Coriander 1 teaspoon


  • Salt and Green Chilies according to taste


  • kitchen king masala 1 teaspoon


  • cumin seeds 1 teaspoon


  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon


  • turmeric 1/2 teaspoon


  • Asofaetida 1 pinch

Directions

  • First, heat the cooking oil and add cumin seeds , mustard seeds and add onions. After 2 minutes, add asofoetida and green chillies.
  • When the onion starts to brown add ginger garlic paste and saute it well. Later on add tomato puree and cover the lid on medium flame .
  • After 5 minutes add all spices. After 2 minutes, add chopped snake melon in it with a glass of water. Cook for 10 minutes with lid.
  • When snake melon is cooked, add grapes to it and add curd after 2 minutes and let it cook on medium flame, check that you can add water to the same gravy as you want .
  • Let the grapes cook for about 5 minutes, add cream in it and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • When the gravy start thicken add white butter or homemade ghee and coriander. cook it for another 2 minutes and switch off the gas.
  • Yummy dish is ready to relish. Serve with naan , rice or chapati.
  • Note: - If the grapes are not sweet then add 2 spoons of sugar
