  • ingredients for Gooseberry (Amla) compote : Gooseberry(Amla) : 250gms

  • Sugar :100 gram

  • Salt : 1 teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin powder : 1/2 teaspoon

  • ingredients for doughnuts: Whole wheat flour : 1cup

  • Yeast : 1 teaspoon

  • Butter : 2 tablespoon

  • Salt : 1pinch

  • Sugar : 1/2 cup

  • Milk : 1/2 cup

  • Amla compote : 2 tablespoon

  • Baking soda : 1pinch

  • Oil for frying : 1 litre

  • ingredients for garnishing : White compound chocolate 1/2cup

  • Dark compound chocolate : 1/2cup

  • Mix colourful Sprinklers : 1 cup

    method to make amla compote : First wash Amla & remove seeds.

    Cook them for 1 whistle in pressure cooker.

    When steam releases open cooker and blend Amlas.

    Now we have Amla puree with us.

    Now take a heavy bottom pan and add amla puree with sugar in it. Now roast this puree and add salt with roasted cumin powder.

    Keep stirring on low flame till it thickens. After 5 minutes switch off the flame.

    Gooseberry(amla) Compote is ready. Keep aside to cool.

    Now to make doughnuts : First add all mentioned ingredients in flour except milk and oil.

    Mix nicely with the tips of your fingers.It will become like breadcrumbs.

    Now add milk slowly and keep kneading the dough.

    when dough becomes sticky keep aside.

    After 10 minutes again knead. Now dough will be smooth.

    Now keep it at warm place for 3 hours to rise.

    After 3 hours again pinch the dough so that air can release.

    Now give the shape of doughnuts to dough and keep in warm place for 1 hour more.

    Now heat the oil and deep fry at slow flame. Fry till golden brown.

    Fry all doughnuts and keep aside to cool.

    For garnishing : First Melt both chocolates separately for 1 Minute in microwave.

    Now pour melted chocolate on doughnuts according to your desire and decorate with sprinklers.
