Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Rice (basmati preferably) 200 grams


  • Carrot 1 diced into cubes


  • Capsicum 1 diced


  • Beans 5 chopped into an inch pieces


  • Peas 1/2 a cup


  • Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon


  • Bay leaf 2


  • Oil 2 tbsp


  • Ghee 2 tbsp


  • Cloves 5


  • 1/2 inch piece of cinnamon stick


  • 2 cardamom crushed


  • Green chillies 2 finely chopped


  • Hing 1/4 tsp

Directions

  • Soak the rice for 10 minutes drain and keep aside
  • In a pressure cooker Add oil
  • Add ghee
  • Add bay leaf and hing
  • Add the Cardamoms cinnamon sticks and peppers
  • Add the veggies and green chillies
  • Add some salt and cook for two minutes
  • Add the rice
  • Mix properly with tender moves so that rice does not break
  • Add in salt and mix
  • Add around twice the amount of water as rice
  • Cook on low fire for 15 mins
  • Open the lid and prick with a fork
  • Serve with curd or any curry
