Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 2 cups maida


  • 1/2 cup ghee


  • 1/2 cup milk


  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 2 tbsp raisins


  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds


  • 1 teaspoon baking powder


  • 1/2 cup blanched almonds

Directions

  • slice Almonds thinly or grind coarsely
  • mix salt Maida sugar baking powder Almonds and raisins in a bowl
  • add milk and 1 tbsp ghee reserve remaining ghee for greasing the rotis. knead for 15 minutes to form smooth dough.
  • Cover and rest for 2 hours
  • divide the dough into equal portions , rollout as a roti now fold the dough in semicircle Sprinkle little poppy seeds and ghee. Fold and roll the dough again to form Roti brick the Roti with fork all over
  • Cook roti in tandoor or oven or grill pan
  • For oven, preheat oven to 200 deg. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Both sides should be cooked
  • Smear ghee on top . Serve hot with spicy gravy
