Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Refined Flour -2 cup

  • Baking Powder -1tbsp

  • Baking Soda -2 pinch

  • Sugar -2tbsp

  • Salt-1 tbsp

  • Curd-3 tbsp

  • Milk-4 tbsp

  • Butter-4 tbsp

  • Kalonji-1 tbsp

  • Coriander leaves chopped -1tbsp

  • Cooking oil-1 tbsp

Directions

  • Sieve refined flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and 2 tbsp of butter into it and mix it well with the flour with your fingertips. Add curd into it and mix it and then add warm milk into it, mix it and knead it well to make a soft smooth dough. Add sufficient water if required and make a soft dough. Apply little oil on the dough and cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, knead it once and make equal sized balls of it. Roll it in circular motion and then add some kalonji on it and then again roll it in oval shape and apply some water on the opposite side of it.
  • Heat a iron tawa, put the naan on it from its side on which water is applied and press it gently to stick it to tawa. Cook it for 20 seconds on that side on medium flame and then reverse the tawa towards the flame side.
  • Cook on another side by keeping it at some distance away from the flame so that it doesn't burn on another side and then again put the tawa on the flame and cook it nicely from both the sides.
  • Take it out from the tawa, apply some melted butter combined with coriander leaves on the naan and then serve it immediately.
