Sweet potato hot and tangy chat

Description

Sweet Potato Chat is one of the most easy way to prepare chaat recipe with sweet potatoes or shakarkandi. The sweetness of the sweet potatoes/ shakarkandi pairs very well with the slight pungency of the black pepper powder and the tangyness from the everest pani puri masala and lemon juice.  Overall it is a quick, easy and no fat chaat snack to enjoy at any time of the day.

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 medium-sized fat sweet potatoes


  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice


  • 1/2 teaspoon Everest pani puri masala


  • 1/4 teaspoon Rock salt or to taste


  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder


  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 tablespoon besan bhujiya /sev


  • 2 tablespoons imli ki khatti meethi chutney

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees
  • Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly.
  • Pierce the sweet potatoes a few times to stop them from exploding in the oven.
  • Roast for about 30 minutes (they should feel soft but not mushy when pierced with a knife)
  • Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into thick slices, sprinkle, everest pani puri masala, rock salt and other spices.
  • Drizzle a generous amount of imli ki chutney
  • Garnish with chopped coriander, lemon juice and bhujiya and just dig in and enjoy.
  • Serve hot or warm as per the choice
