Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Bottle gourd 500gms finely chopped


  • Onion finely chopped 1 tablespoon


  • Ginger chopped finely 1 teaspoon


  • Garlic finely chopped 1/2 teaspoon


  • Frozen or fresh corn 1/2 cup


  • Fresh coriander (dhania)leaves 1/2 cup


  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon


  • Splited green chillis 2


  • Tomato 1 big finely chopped


  • Bayleaf 1


  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon


  • Redchilli powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • Suger 1/2 teaspoon


  • Salt 2 teaspoon


  • Melted ghee 1 teaspoon


  • Refined oil 2 tablespoons

Directions

  • Heat a pan and add refined oil 2 tablespoon
  • Add cumin seeds and splited chilli's,let it crackle.
  • Then add chopped onion,ginger, garlic and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add chopped tomatos,cumin powder,,coriander powder ,red chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry.
  • Then add frozen or fresh corn and the finely chopped bottle gourd with the masalas and stir until the masalas leaves oil from it.
  • Add 1/2 cup of boiling water to the bottle gourd if needed and cover the pan with a lid and cook under low flame
  • Stir in between the cooking process as it may stick to the pan.
  • Add suger , salt and mix well until the bottle gourd becomes dry.
  • If done then garnish the cooked corn bottle gourd with a teaspoon of melted ghee and chopped coriander (dhania) leaves.
