Ingredients

  • Pigeon dal(tuar dal) 1-2 cups

  • Drumsticks chopped 2

  • Chopped brinjal 1 cup

  • Chopped pumpkin 1 cup

  • Chopped onion 1

  • Chopped carrot 1

  • Everest Sambhar masala 1-2 tablespoons

  • Tamarind pulp 1-2 tablespoons

  • chili powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • salt 1-2 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 teaspoon

  • dry whole red chilli 1

  • fenugreek seeds 1/4 th teaspoon

  • mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • curry leaf sprigs 2

Directions

    Cook tuar dal, with pieces of drumstick, brinjal, onion and carrot

  • 02

    Add tamarind pulp, chilli powder and salt according to taste

  • 03

    Add Everest Sambhar masala and mix well

  • 04

    for baghar or tadka, heat 2 teaspoon of oil and add mustard seeds fenugreek seeds and one whole red Chilly

    Now add curry leaves and Pinch of asafoetida

  • 06

    Add baghar or Tadka to the boiling sambar

  • 07

    Mix well and cook for some more time and yummy sambar is ready to serve

  • 08

    Serve hot with dosas, idlis, appam and enjoy endlessly
