Ingredients

  • Kabuli chana 1 cup (overnight soaked)


  • Tomato puree 2


  • Onion paste 2


  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon


  • Everest Chole Masala 2 tablespoons


  • Corriander powder 2 teaspoons


  • Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon


  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon


  • Red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • Mustard oil 1 tablespoon


  • Fresh corriander leaves 1 tablespoon ( for garnishing)


  • Salt to taste 1/4 teaspoon

Directions

  • Boil the chole by giving it 4-5 whistles in the pressure cooker.
  • Take a wok and heat oil now add asofoetida, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, onion paste and roast them well.
  • Now add corriander powder, red chilly powder, roasted cumin powder and everest chole masala and roast it again for 5 minutes.
  • Now add tomato puree, and salt according to your taste.
  • Add chole and mix it well with the masala and now add water accordingly.
  • Now cover and cook for 10 minutes
  • Garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with kulchas.
