Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes 1/2 kilo


  • All purpose flour 1/2 kilo


  • Asafoetida 1 teaspoon


  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon


  • Corriander powder 1 teaspoon


  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon


  • Red chilly powder 1 teaspoon


  • Mango powder 1 teaspoon


  • Oil for frying 1 cup


  • Dry food colors 1 teaspoon


  • Salt to taste 1/4 teaspoon

Directions

  • Take a wok and heat oil then add asafoetida, cumin seeds and all the dry spices and then add boiled and mashed potatoes, salt and mix it all well.
  • Transfer it to a bowl and let it cool.
  • Sieve all purpose flour now add 2 tablespoon refined oil and give it moyan. Add water and make a fine dough. Cover and leave for 10 minutes
  • Take a small dough and roll it into round shape. Now cut it into stripes on the half portion and apply color on the another half portion. Now set the stripes portion on the colored portion. And fold it into a cone and fill it with the Potato mixture and seal the corners with maida paste. And fry
  • Serve hot with spicy green tomato chutney
