Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • For Chutney: 1 cup coriander leaves


  • 1/4 Cup mint leaves


  • 2-3 garlic cloves


  • 1/2 cup water


  • 1 small inch ginger


  • 1 tsp chaat masala


  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder


  • 1/8 tsp hing


  • 1/2 tsp sugar


  • 3 green chillies


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp salt


  • For Dhokla: 1 cup curd


  • 1.5 cups Poha


  • 3/4 cup water


  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric


  • 1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies


  • 1.5 tsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1/4 cup semolina


  • For Garnish: 1 tbsp white sesame seeds


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1/2 tsp hing


  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tbsp grated coconut


  • 3-4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Directions

  • grind all ingredients mentioned under chutney section keep scraping the sides while grinding keep this aside
  • In a bowl beat half cup curd and little salt and mix well .Add poha and half cup water to the curd , mix well .keep it aside
  • heat 1 tablespoon oil add semolina and turmeric saute until fragrant
  • Beat the remaining curd. Add poha mixture and beaten curd to semolina with one fourth Cup water and salt , mix all the ingredients well. Now add green chillies , sugar and keep sauteing until the mixture completely leaves the sides. Finally add lemon juice and mix well and switch off
  • grease a square dish.Add the Dhokla mixture to the dish. level evenly and allow to cool to set
  • heat the oil and splutter mustard seeds. add hing and switch off
  • Now add sesame seeds, green chillies to seasoning and mix well
  • Pour the seasoning on top of dhokla.
  • Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves. Cut in squares and serve with green chutney
